U.S. District Judge Harry Barnes granted Alamo’s attorney’s request to delay the trial, which had been set to begin May 18. In a one-page order issued Friday, Barnes said that the "ends of justice served by the granting of the continuance outweighs the best interests of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial."

The trial is now set for 9 a.m. July 13.

Tony Alamo is scared because he knows that theres no way out of this one. Let me tell you something America. Theyre lying all of the ppl in the church are telling lies. There was abuse in that church,…uh…CULT. They are not all used to making their own choices at all. Tony Almo made choices for then, like telling them their children were going to get beaten till they bleed. Is this what God wants ppl in the Tony church? No…it….is….not. So please please wake up. A lot of the kids arent going back. I know alot of you pple know that. They have realized that you are not fighting for them, you are fighting for your church and if you were fighting for your children then you would have allready gotten a house and a job for your family. Stop living in a life that is willed by one man. Why dont you listen to God for a change.
